Bow Shackles

Overview

Mega Link Bow Shackles (Omega/anchor type) are forged, quenched and tempered alloy steel shackles with maximum proof load 2.2× WLL and ultimate load 6× WLL. Available with screw pin (G-209), round pin (G-213), or bolt type (G-2130), covering chain sizes 1/4″ to 3″ with WLL from 0.5T to 85T for multi-directional rigging loads.

Inspection and care

Before each lift, check that the pin is fully screwed home and that the body is not bent, stretched, cracked or worn by more than a tenth of its original section. Replace a shackle whose WLL marking can no longer be read. Never substitute a bolt for the pin.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and chemicals.
