Lashing a load
A ratchet lashing is rated by its lashing capacity, printed on its label. Use enough lashings for the weight of the load and the forces of braking and cornering, and protect the belt where it crosses a sharp edge.
Lashing gear secures loads in transit. It is never used to lift.
